October 1972 � Present: Principal Partner, Nwankwo Scott Associates with overall responsibility for setting-up, coordinating and directing the activities of the firm both in Nigeria and Overseas. He has been largely responsible for nurturing, developing and expanding the firm�s national outlook as well as the working relationship between Nwankwo Scott Associates and her Overseas Associated Practices. Within this period, he has been personally responsible for some of the firm�s major works in Nigeria.

January � September 1972: Architect with Godwin and Hopwood, first in Lagos and later at Kaduna. At Lagos he worked on major conversion projects, among them Gottschalcks building at Broad Street, as well as on various new branches for the United Bank for Africa Limited.

At Kaduna, he actively participated in Production Drawings and Supervision of the North-East College of Arts & Science (now the University of Maiduguri), as well as supervision work on the expansion to the Nigerian Breweries Complex (NBL) Kaduna.

September 1970 � December 1971: Worked with Kenneth Scott Associates Accra and was resident architect on Mampong District Hospital, part of the WHO � sponsored hospital programmes for Ghana.

July 1968 � August 1970: Assistant Research Fellow, Department of Housing and Planning Research, Faculty of Architecture, University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. Within this period, in addition to teaching assignments in the Department of Architecture, he published in collaboration with other colleagues, Reports on Urban and Rural with other colleagues, Reports on Urban and Rural Housing Development, Timber Housing Development, Development of Tools and Techniques � (�Appropriate Technology Programme�), and Prefabricated Systems for Schools and Housing in Ghana. Within the same period, he worked with Prof. John Owusu � Addo on the Preliminary Designs of the CEDI HOUSE for Ghana�s Agricultural Development Bank, Accra.
